Thatcham Park Primary School

Thatcham Park is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled School welcoming children aged 3 to 11 years.  We opened in September 2005, following the merger of the former Infant and Junior schools.  After an extensive building project, we are now altogether on one site in Park Avenue. We have an extensive field, hard surface playgrounds and science and nature areas, including our own allotment.

For more information about our school, please read our prospectus or come and visit us!

  • Children should arrive at school no earlier than 10 minutes before the agreed start of the school day as staff are not able to be responsible for them before this time.
  • The children attend 190 school days each year. Parents receive a copy of their child’s daily attendance over the course of the year in the annual report.
  • We ask that parents avoid taking children out of school for family holidays whenever possible. Absence in September and October can be particularly disruptive for the children.
  • Parents of children in Year 6 are reminded that their children take SATs (Standard Assessment tests) during May. These are national tests that children undertake at the end of each Key Stage.
