Pangbourne Primary School caters for boys and girls aged between three and eleven years on a spacious site on the eastern edge of the village. The school is exceptionally fortunate in having two large halls, which provide generous facilities for physical education, drama, dance and music.
All of our teaching areas are well-stocked with books and teaching resources which are appropriate to the needs of the children. We also have a well-stocked library, a modern ICT suite with internet access, a craft area and kiln, outdoor learning areas, separate all-weather play areas, play equipment and a very large sports field.
Our Early Years Foundation Stage provides a well planned and stimulating curriculum for pupils between the ages of three and five.
We currently have two Key Stage 1 classes and four Key Stage 2 classes. Classes are taught as single year groups.
The school has a strong ‘Arts’ culture. We enjoy a good relationship with the Berkshire Maestros, the Young Musicians Trust with individual and group tuition available in school for a wide range of instruments as well as a thriving choir. Dance is taught as part of the PE curriculum, and all children have the opportunity to take part in many assemblies and productions during their time in school. You can find out more here on our website, or in our School Prospectus.
Pangbourne School is an important part of the local community, and we actively seek to work in partnership with you as parents, with governors, with the Friends of Pangbourne Primary School (FOPPS) and other professionals in order to provide the very best education for your children. We encourage parents to come to have a look around our school, so please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time.
We look forward to meeting you.
